The successful candidate will serve as a selector for a term of four years, beginning on March 1st, 2022. They will work alongside four other selectors to choose the best players for the Indian cricket team across all formats of the game.
This move comes after the resignation of former selector Venkatesh Prasad earlier this month.
Prasad had been serving as a selector since 2015 but stepped down due to personal reasons. His departure left a vacancy on the selection committee, which the BCCI is now looking to fill.
The BCCI has not yet announced when it will make a decision on the new member of the Men’s Selection Committee. However, with the deadline for applications set for January 24th, it is likely that a decision will be made soon after.
Overall, this is an exciting opportunity for experienced cricketers to play a key role in shaping the future of Indian cricket.
